Mission Statement
Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory Forever!
The BCY of St. Thomas the Apostle Byzantine Catholic Church in Rahway, New Jersey is open to 9th through 12th grade students, and is dedicated to fostering in young men and women the ideals of Eastern Christian community, charity, and education.
The BCY endeavors to give living witness to Christ's glorious message of salvation.
The BCY pursues this goal of life in Christ in three specific, interrelated ways: (1) by encouraging social interaction among young Byzantine Catholics; (2) by serving the material and spiritual needs of our parish church as well as the community at large; and (3) by seeking a more mature understanding of the Eastern Christian Church and of our identity within the Church.

The next regular BCY meeting will be on Wednesday, February 8 at the parish
library. Plan to arrive at 7 PM. A special item on our agenda will be a discussion
with Mrs. Maryann Laskowski about the participation of our BCY group at the
parish centennial celebration on April 15. Following that discussion, we will
have pizza, soda, munchies and a movie night -- be inspired by the award winning
film The Human Experience. Click on the link below for a preview: http://www.grassrootsfilms.com/trailers/the_human_experience_trailer_large.html
You are welcome to bring a friend.
PLEASE RSVP by Sunday, February 5 so that we can plan on how much pizza to order.
We will finalize plans to help set up for the Slavonic Festival which is February
18 this year.
Also, the retreat in Doylestown has been cancelled and will be rescheduled due
to a scheduling conflict.
We look forward to this important and interesting gathering,
(Deacon Candidate) Tom Shubeck
